Chief Executive Women (CEW) is pleased to announce Amelia Fyfield as the inaugural Australian recipient of the Australian/Indonesia International Trade and Investment Scholarship.
Amelia has extensive experience in trade development and market access roles and was Head of Beanstalk AgTech in Australia and New Zealand. She is currently CSIRO Counsellor, Director, Southeast Asia, working to build and maintain relationships with ASEAN in pursuit of collaborative research and innovation programs.
As part of her scholarship Amelia will study a course on Executive Skills for Board Managers in Challenging Times, at Singapore Management University. She will also join the CEW Connect alumni community.
Amelia said she thought these experiences would help position her to contribute to an exciting new chapter in Australian-Indonesian relations.
“I hope to build my capabilities in corporate governance and strategy, and to strengthen my networks across both Australia and Southeast Asia, with a view to accelerating the development of a new generation of sustainable deep-tech driven industries across our region.”
“I am passionate about building closer and more enduring ties between Indonesia and Australia, and my work with CSIRO has reinforced my belief in the potential of collaboration on deep tech innovation as a driver of sustainable post-pandemic recovery in both countries.”
The Scholarship is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Katalis Women in Leadership Trade and Investment Project, delivered in partnership with CEW, Investing in Women and the Indonesian Business Coalition for Empowerment of Women (IBCWE). An equivalent scholarship is being provided to an Indonesian woman leader through IBCWE.
IA-CEPA ECP Katalis (Katalis) is a unique, five-year (2020-25) government-backed business development program unlocking the vast potential of economic partnership between Australia and Indonesia, with gender equality and social inclusion at the centre of everything it does.
