The Hansen Executive Leader CEW Scholarship and the Hansen CEW Leaders Program for the Arts Scholarships have been created by Jane Hansen AO, Deputy Chancellor of the University of Melbourne and CEW member, who has a long history of business leadership and supporting Australian cultural institutions. Applications are open from Monday 8 August.
Ms Hansen said the scholarships provide a fantastic opportunity to support the leadership ambitions of talented women making an impact in the Australian arts community, while supporting the industry as it rebounds from the pandemic.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for women working across Australia in the Arts to further develop their managerial, financial, and strategic skills. Strong and effective leadership in the sector is so vital to its viability and sustainability – it is our culture and its voice at stake.”
CEW Scholarships Committee Chair Deidre Willmott welcomes the new scholarships and the opportunity for women leading in the arts community.
“CEW is extremely grateful for Jane Hansen’s generosity in establishing these scholarships which will be dedicated to growing women’s leadership in the arts in Australia.”
