Indigenous Scholarships: Closing Soon
Applications are closing on 16 March 2020 for 4 scholarship opportunities for Indigenous women leaders.
Chief Executive Women in partnership with Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation and the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership are offering 3 scholarships to international business schools and a Fellowship for Indigenous women leaders to help boost their careers to the next level.
2019 Scholar Krista Dunstan, a Noongar woman from Esperance in Western Australia and Principal Policy Officer at the WA Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, says her attendance at the Emerging Leaders Program at Harvard Kennedy School had an immediate impact on her work and she encourages others to take advantage of this invaluable opportunity.
Krista reported that the course exceeded her expectations,
“exposure to an international cohort of government and non-government actors in various fields of endeavour who are looking to develop new ways of working to create a better future. It also gave us the opportunity to not just learn from the experts but each other”.
“The course assisted me to employ the language around what I am trying to do, and how I think it can be done, as well as giving me the opportunity to reflect on some of the key challenges in this space and how I might approach them differently to get different results”.
CEW is proud to be involved in supporting Krista’s growing career through its ongoing advocacy work, women leaders enabling women leaders. There are 4 CEW Scholarships applications open this month designed for middle and senior Indigenous women leaders with more than 5 years’ experience managing people and budgets.
Applicants can apply for; CEW & Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation Scholarships, 3 successful applicants can choose from 5 leadership programs at Harvard Kennedy School and INSEAD Singapore and the CEW & Vincent Fairfax Fellowship, a year-long Fellowship for senior executives which aims to put ethical change into action within organisations.
If you are an Indigenous woman leader looking to take your career to the next level or you know an Indigenous woman who is, please encourage them to apply before the 16 March 2020 deadline.
