Leaders Program objectives and overview

A unique opportunity to grow personally and professionally
Chief Executive Women’s Leaders Program was established to help organisations create an environment that encourages the development and retention of talented women leaders. The leadership potential of women remains largely untapped in most organisations and research shows that diverse organisations outperform the rest. Our aim is to support women to realise their leadership potential through participation in the CEW Leaders Program.

The program is designed and delivered by CEW members and offers:

  • A different lens on leadership and organisation
  • A new look at navigating the corporate maze
  • Time for personal and collective reflection
  • Pathways to build confidence
  • Networks to fulfill goals through people to people connections

The environment is collegiate and exciting, affirming and challenging.

The program brings together emerging women leaders from a wide range of different industries and sectors, providing them with a unique opportunity to grow personally and professionally.

Since 2005, more than 900 women and 82 organisations have participated in the CEW Leaders Program.

The program is offered in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Singapore.

  • Lynette Mayne
  • Lynette Mayne AM, Director, Leaders Program

    In addition to running the CEW Leaders Program, Lynette represents Australia at the APEC Women in the Economy Forum. She has extensive international experience, holding several CEO, Director and Chair positions for major companies both in NYC and with Lendlease in Australia. Lynette was also owner and Executive Chair of Work Wear World until she sold the business in 2016. She is a Director on the CEW Board.

  • Dagmar Schmidmaier
  • Dagmar Schmidmaier AM, Director, Leaders Program

    In addition to running the CEW Leaders Program, Dagmar is Chair CHeBA Advisory Committee – UNSW Medicine and Non-Executive Director of Alzheimers Australia NSW. She is the former Chair of the War Widows Guild NSW, and has held executive roles in the university, government and private sectors including as State Librarian and CEO State Library NSW.

  • Michelle Woolven, National Program Executive Australia and Singapore

    Michelle has over 20 years of national and international retail experience as senior buyer for an interior design business. Immediately prior to her current role Michelle coordinated all logistics for the Aurora Foundation Leadership Institute.
