Sam Mostyn

Sam Mostyn is the current President of Chief Executive Women. She also chairs ANROWS, Australians Investing in Women: Alberts; Ausfilm; Citi Australia; and FYA. She is a director of CPD; Climate Council; GO Foundation; Mirvac; Sydney Swans; Tonic Media Group and Transurban Group; and serves on the Australian Faculty of Cambridge University’s Business & Sustainability Leadership Program. Sam was awarded the Order of Australia in 2021 for distinguished service to business and sustainability, and to the community, through seminal contributions to a range of organisations, and to women.

In 2020 she received a United Nations Day Honour Award for significant contribution in advancing the work of the United Nations; in recognition of her outstanding efforts in the advancement of sustainable development as defined by the UN and her leadership in the areas of diversity and inclusion in Australia; was Winner {Individiual} in the IGCC 2019 Climate Awards; and in 2018 was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by ANU in recognition of her work as a pioneer of gender inclusion and equity, and leadership in sustainability and climate change.

Sam is prior chair of 1 Million Women; Australian Museum; and Carriageworks; deputy chair of Diversity Council of Australia, director of Australia Council of the Arts; Australian Volunteers International; ClimateWorks Australia; Sydney Theatre Company; Reconciliation Australia; and Virgin Australia; member of Advisory Council; Crawford School of Economics and Governance, ANU; Business and Sustainable Development Commission; Crawford Sports Funding Review Expert Panel; Women’s Advisory Panel for the Australian Chief of Defence Force, Human Right Commission Review of the Treatment of Women in ADF. She is past president of Australian Council for International Development; and Commissioner of AFL; and National Mental Health Commission.
