Sharon Warburton is an executive and non-executive Director. She is an Executive Director of Brookfield Multiplex, a global contracting development company that designs, builds and maintains property and infrastructure assets. Sharon reports directly to the CEO in this national role, focusing on strategic business development, corporate planning and operational effectiveness.

Sharon has deep experience in the construction, mining, resources, real estate and infrastructure sectors from her work across Australia, the UK and the Middle East. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Fortescue Metals Group. In 2014, Sharon was named WA Telstra Business Woman of the Year and she was a 2015 Westpac Financial Review 100 Women of Influence finalist.

From 2004 to 2008, Sharon was Group General Manager for the then Multiplex, working as Project Manager for the Multiplex Board on the 2007 takeover by Brookfield, a large Canadian based global asset management company. In this role, she coordinated a six-month due diligence process to successfully deliver this landmark deal.

In 2015, Sharon was invited to be a member of the Takeovers Panel — a peer review body that regulates corporate control transactions in widely-held Australian entities, primarily by the efficient, effective and speedy resolution of takeover disputes. In late 2015 she joined the Board of Western Power. She is also on the Board of two Perth Based NFP’s – Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and the Curtin Business School Asia Business Centre Advisory Board.

Sharon’s passion for coaching women is well known. She is a champion of flexible working and heavily involved with the National Association of Women in Construction and Women in Mining WA. Sharon has also founded and runs an online mentoring toolkit for professional women,
