Informed by deep experience, Andrea combines an intrinsic and expert understanding of people capital and the business landscape to build top HR teams. Andrea knows what ‘world class HR’ looks like. Her experience as a senior HR Executive with both global and Australian companies and as a former member of the world HR 50 ensures she is well positioned to partner with HR executives and CEOs to construct value creating HR organisations.

Her business, HRi, is built on a highly successful HR career. She has developed and executed HR strategies to drive fundamental and positive change in human capital management and company culture in several large organisations. Over her career, she has worked in senior HR roles across the finance, pharmaceutical, automotive and telecommunication industries. In each role she has transformed the HR function into a talented and high performing team focused on delivering global best practice people capital solutions to enable and sustain business strategy.

Andrea’s 5.5 years with Telstra as Group Managing Director Human Resources saw the business through major transformation and cultural change, taking employee engagement levels to their highest in the company’s history. Her transformation of the HR function was a critical success factor for Telstra’s large scale, complex change program. Andrea’s passion for diversity lead to Telstra becoming the first Australian company to win the prestigious Catalyst Award in 2010, a global award for initiatives that support and advance women in business.

Prior to Telstra, Andrea held senior regional and country HR roles as Executive Director HR with General Motors Holden and HR Director with Merck Sharp and Dohme (NZ). Andrea is a Non Executive Director with Programmed and a member of Chief Executive Women. In 2003, she was awarded ‘Australian HR Director of the Year’ at the Australian HR awards, and was named as the Equal Opportunity for Women Agency’s ‘Diversity Leader of the Year’ in 2004.
