Director CEW Leaders Program
Dagmar has been a Senior Executive for over 30 years and was CEO and State Librarian of the State Library of NSW from 1995-2006. She has worked as an academic and in the government and private sector and has been a Director on not-for-profit Boards throughout her career.
She is Director of CEW's Leaders Program which is designed to inspire women to take on more senior leadership roles and develop leadership capacity. The Leaders Program runs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Singapore.
Currently she is Chair of the Course Advisory Committee Knowledge and Information Studies University of Canberra and is a former Director Alzheimers Australia NSW, former member of the Alzheimers NSW Advisory Committee and former Chair of the Advisory Committee, Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing, UNSW Medicine. She is also the former Chair of the War Widows’ Guild of Australia NSW Ltd.
Dagmar was awarded an Order of Australia in 2004 and a Centenary Medal in 2003. The University of NSW awarded her a Doctor of Letters in 1999 and the University's Alumni Award for Arts/Law in 2006. She is a Fellow of the Australian Library and Information Association. In 2005 she was a NSW finalist in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award and she is profiled in 'A Fair Go, Portraits of the Australian Dream' by Wendy McCarthy AO, Focus Publishing, 1999.
