Emma Stein is an experienced non executive director and Board Committee chairman, having worked on listed and private company boards since moving to Australia in 2003. Currently she chairs Audit and Risk, HSE and Risk and Compliance Committees.

Her executive career was in the UK, working in the building materials, fuel distribution and energy sectors, in roles as corporate analyst, depot manager, regional general manager and divisional managing director. She worked for UK, American and French multinationals. Her last executive job was as UK Managing Director for French utility company, Gaz de France, running their UK downstream operations.

She brings to the board table, CEO skill set and strengths in commercial and strategic matters. She likes to focus on oil and gas companies, the energy sector, resource companies and businesses where these sectors feature strongly. As a NED, she has experience in IPO's, acquiring and being acquired, capital raisings and restructures, portfolio reshaping, CEO and CFO recruitment, and strategy development.

Emma is a ministerial appointee to the MCE Selection Panel, a committee that provides independent input to the appointment of energy regulators. She is board member for the University of Western Sydney and an ambassador for the guides. Formerly she was NSW President for the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Emma has a daughter, Jessica and they live in Wallacia, about 70 kms outside Sydney.
