Erin Flaherty has over 30 years’ experience in corporate governance, finance, public transport, infrastructure and law.

She is a director of Sydney Metro Authority and was previously a member of the Advisory Boards for the North West rail project and Sydney Light Rail.

Erin was appointed as a Guardian of the Commonwealth Future Fund in 2016 and also sits on the audit and risk committee.

Erin is National Chair of the Professional Scholarship Selection Committee for Fulbright, and a non-Executive Director of the Police and Citizens Clubs of NSW. Previously she was a non-executive director of the Australian-American Fulbright Scholarship Commission, and the Australian Youth Orchestra.

Formerly an Executive Director of Infrastructure NSW Erin was responsible for the transport, social and cultural sectors, advising on strategic directions and key objectives for the NSW Government in these sectors. Prior to her work with the NSW Government, Erin was Deputy Chief Executive at Reliance Rail, Corporate Counsel and Director for Parker & Parsley Petroleum (previously Bridge Oil Limited) and a Senior Associate at Baker & McKenzie.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Laws and Jurisprudence from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics. She has a diploma in Corporate Governance and gained a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney.

She is also a director of a small olive oil producer in Margaret River, Western Australia.
