Evie Bruce is the Australian Managing Partner responsible for King & Wood Mallesons’ Banking and Finance and Project and Real Estate teams. She also leads the firm’s Financial Institutions Sector team.
Prior to joining the executive team, Evie led a successful practice in M&A and capital markets. She is a relationship partner for a number of King & Wood Mallesons’ key clients and a member of the Corporations Committee of the Law Council of Australia, and a former member of the King & Wood Mallesons' Australia Partnership Committee. Evie was appointed as a Partner of the firm in 2008. She has two years of international experience with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York.
Evie has written a regular column on trends in M&A for the Australian Financial Review and has been a Visiting Lecturer at Monash University teaching a course in equity capital markets law. Evie is a graduate of the University of New South Wales holding a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and a Bachelor of Law.
Evie has been involved in King & Wood Mallesons’ diversity initiatives for many years, she mentors women throughout the firm and was a member of the Diversity Committee.
