Helen Gluer MBA, BCom, CPA, FAICD Under Treasurer
Helen was appointed Under Treasurer in March 2012. Immediately prior to that appointment Helen accepted a secondment to act as Director-General of the Health Corporate Services Authority (HCSA), as part of the then Queensland Government's restructure of Queensland Health. In accepting that secondment, Helen took a leave of absence from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Stanwell Corporation, Queensland's largest generator, which she has held since April 2011. Prior to this, Helen was the Chief Executive Officer of Tarong Energy since January 2007 and before this, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Brisbane City Council. With a diverse career, Helen has 28 years' experience in banking, finance and infrastructure. Helen is the Deputy Chancellor of the Queensland University of Technology. Previous appointments include Council member for the Queensland University of Technology, a Trustee of the Lord Mayor's Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund and member of the Local Government Remuneration Tribunal. Previous directorships include the National Generators Forum, Queensland Resources Council, Translink Transit Authority, City Super Pty Ltd, the South East Queensland Water Board and Brisbane Airport Corporation. Helen also chaired the Central Queensland Ports Authority.
