In that time, she has undertaken reviews of board performance; worked with boards to develop strategy; assisted with many aspects of corporate governance advice and successfully placed a wide variety of people into non-executive directors and Chairman positions.
Jane's experience is a combination of government and private, having spent 15 years in the NSW public service, her last position being the CEO of the Department for Women. She has since worked as a consultant in leadership, advising on strategy and planning, and lecturing at the Graduate School of Management at Macquarie University.
Jane then spent some years with a national firm specialising in non-executive director search and board review, and during this time worked with large, small, listed, unlisted and government boards on issues of governance and performance.
In 1999, Jane established Boardroom Partners; a specialist consulting firm providing advisory services to boards. These include search for independent board members; reviews of board performance and corporate governance advice more generally. Since this time, Jane has built a successful consulting firm providing specialised advice on recruitment and performance to well over 100 businesses, and in addition has a range of pro bono clients in the not for profit sector.
