Jenny is the Executive Vice President of Products and Payments at CIBC, based in Toronto. She is responsible for the profitability and client experience of the Retail lines of business.
Previously, Jenny was the Chair of the Real Time Payments Committee in Australia, a senior Industry group which developed a clear way forward for innovation in the low value Payments System.
Jenny is the former Chief Executive Officer of ANZ National Bank Limited, New Zealand's largest bank. The business represented: NZ$882m profit (2010); 9400 employees; and 33% customer market share. Jenny also was a member of ANZ Banking Group's Management Board.
Prior to taking up the role in May 2009, Jenny was Deputy CEO ANZ National Bank Limited and Managing Director for NZ Retail Distribution, responsible for the two retail/business banking franchises of ANZ and The National Bank.
Before transferring to New Zealand in early 2008, Jenny was the Managing Director, Consumer Finance, responsible for Credit Cards, Merchant Services, Personal Loans and Contact Centres. ANZ Group roles included: Member of the Credit and Trading Committee; Corporate Responsibility; Diversity; and Financial Literacy.
Earlier roles at ANZ included Managing Director Credit Cards and General Manager Risk Management and Personal Loans.
Prior to joining ANZ in 2000, Jenny developed a consulting practice in credit risk and customer profitability at KPMG. Before this, she held General Management roles at Citibank in most functions of Retail Banking, from sales to credit operations.
Jenny has specialist expertise in Risk, holding a PhD in Management (Risk) and having managed large asset portfolios through several business cycles. Jenny has a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours in Organisational Psychology) from the University of Queensland.
