Katrina Rathie was appointed King & Wood Mallesons' Partner in Charge, Sydney in 2014 and has been a partner at the firm for over 20 years. She is a Non-Executive Director of Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia, Osteoporosis Australia and the Cranbrook Foundation.

Katrina has acted for Australian and international clients in the advertising, marketing, media, retail, entertainment and communications industries for over 30 years. She was named Woman Lawyer of the Year, Private Practice in 2015 by the Women Lawyers Association of NSW. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW, ACT, Victoria and WA (1985), Solicitor of the High Court of Australia (1986) and an Attorney of the Supreme Court of New York, USA (1988).

She has chaired the Advertising Claims Board, is an accredited mediator and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a participant in the AICD’s Chair’s Mentoring Program and the EY Emerging Director program.

Katrina leads King & Wood Mallesons' ‘Engaging Women’ program in NSW, Juggler’s Network working parent’s forum and heads the firm’s cultural diversity and Inclusion program. She is also a member of the Managing Partners Diversity Initiative. Katrina has several lawyers in her team working flexibly - she has mentored and enabled many women to achieve their aspirations within the firm, as in-house counsel, at the Bar and elsewhere. She is an active supporter of NSW Law Society’s Charter for the Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession and the Equitable Briefing Policy.
