Marianne Perkovic is Executive General Manager of Commonwealth Private, within CBA’s Business and Private Banking division, and as such is a direct report to a divisional chief executive of an ASX10 publicly listed company. She also holds directorships on the Commonwealth Private Board and a number of CBA Wealth Management boards.

Prior to her current appointment, Marianne spent four years as the Executive General Manager of CBA’s Wealth Management Advice division, where she led a significant transformation program and cultural change.

Before joining CBA, Marianne was at Count Financial Limited where, in 2006, she was appointed Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, which then made her the youngest female CEO of an ASX listed company. Marianne is recognised as a leader in the financial services industry in advocating for the acknowledgement of financial advice as a profession, working closely with government, regulators, media, industry participants and industry associations.

Marianne holds a Bachelor of Economics, Business Law, from Macquarie University and an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. She is a Graduate and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Marianne was involved in setting up the Financial Services Council (FSC) Advice Board Committee and served as a member for over 10 years, she is also a founding Member of the Australian Bankers Association’s Financial Advice Strategy Group and has had active involvement in the Financial Planning Association for over 15 years. Since May 2014, she has been a Director and Trustee of the Financial Planning Association’s Future2 Foundation.

In 2017, Marianne was awarded the FSC Industry Contribution Award for her two decades of work across the industry. In 2013 she was a finalist for Money Management’s Female of the Year and in 2011, Marianne was a finalist in the FINSIA Pinnacle Awards for the most outstanding woman in Financial Services. During her time in CBA’s Wealth Management Advice division, Marianne led and was responsible for the launch of the ‘Women and Advice Program.’
