Meg O’Neill joined Woodside Energy Limited in May 2018 as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operations Officer.

Prior to this Meg had 23 years’ global oil and gas experience with the ExxonMobil group, including senior positions in Indonesia, Norway, Canada and the USA, most recently as Vice President Africa and as Executive Advisor to the Chair. While in Norway she served on the board of the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association.

Meg holds dual Bachelor degrees in Ocean Engineering and Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Meg has been active in the communities she has lived in previously serving on the Boards of United Way in Newfoundland and Labrador, The Children's Museum of Houston and the Advisory Committee of Carr P. Collins Centre managed by the Salvation Army in Dallas/Fort Worth. Meg is currently a board member of the University of Western Australia Business School and also sits on the Monash Faculty of Engineering Dean's Advisory Council.
