Melanie Willis is a Non-Executive Director and Audit and Risk Committee Chair with extensive experience across a range of sectors including financial services, insurance, tourism and leisure, media, property and infrastructure.
Melanie currently serves on the Boards of Challenger Limited, Mantra Group and Southern Cross Austereo. She has experience Chairing Audit and Risk Committee at Mantra Group and Southern Cross Austereo and has served on the Human Resources and Nominations Committee as a member on many of her current and prior Boards.
Melanie has a strong connection to the start up community acting as an adviser and advocate to Blue Chilli’s She Start Program and KPMG’s Elevate 61 Program and proactively seems opportunities to marry early stage companies with complementary corporates that typically have strong brands and distribution footprints.
She is also Chair of the Education Committee for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) 30% Club and a Mentor for the AICD’s 2018 chairman’s mentoring program.
In her executive career Melanie was responsible, as CEO NRMA Investments, for NRMA’s $900m Investment portfolio, tourism and leisure subsidiaries, Group Strategy and Innovation. Prior to this she was CEO of a consumer credit start up and held senior roles in corporate and structured finance at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust and Westpac.
