International Women's Forum Australia
Michaela is the President International Women's Forum Australia and most recently was Group Executive, People Communications & Governance, responsible for people, leadership, culture, corporate responsibility, government affairs, communications, legal and governance at the National Australia Bank Group. Michaela is also a founding director of ShareGift Australia, a not-for-profit that enables shareholders to convert their shares into cash for tax deductible donations to a charity of their choice and a member of the Big Issue Advisory Board.
Michaela’s career highlights include the opportunity to work in a range of industries including the mining, manufacturing, chemicals and financial services industries and to participate in the transformation culture in organisations to drive improved performance.
She observes that her senior leadership role in an organisation like NAB where authentic leadership is encouraged and where she enjoys an alignment of personal and corporate values is highly motivating and energising.
Michaela was responsible for the creation of the NAB Board Ready program that has enabled 600 women to build their experience and confidence in undertaking board roles or working with boards.
I look forward to joining a community of inspiring leaders in CEW and contributing to support peers to achieve their personal and professional goals. In the coming years we have the potential to continue to build momentum for the advancement of women in Australia and to be a constructive advocate for female leadership and continued change in our country. I am excited about the opportunity to enable future leaders to aspire and achieve.
