Nessa is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a post graduate finance qualification from University College Dublin. She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She started her career with Price Waterhouse working in Dublin, New York and Sydney gaining experience across a wide range of sectors including consumer goods, industrials and financial services sectors.

She has over 20 years industry experience in senior roles in global brands, fast moving consumer goods and retail including 10 years in Operational and Commercial roles at Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) a top 50 ASX listed public company. CCA has food, beverage (non alcoholic and alcoholic) and service business across 6 countries operations in developed and developing markets. Senior roles included Group Finance Operations and Strategy roles as well as Group CFO from 2010 to 2015.

Prior to joining CCA Nessa spent 10 years at YUM brands which is listed on the NYSE and owns a number of global food brands including KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell and operates both a franchise system as well as running company owned operations. During her 10 years at YUM Nessa held Director level roles in Finance, IT and Strategic Planning and 5 years in the role of CFO and VP for the Australia/ New Zealand Region. She was also on the Region brand boards for both KFC and Pizza Hut for 5 years and played a key role in sharing best practice and innovations across the global business to drive sustainable business improvements in both developed and developing markets.

At both CCA and YUM Brands, Nessa was a key member of the executive management team with a broad commercial and operational brief to develop and grow the business sustainably and to deliver strong shareholder returns.

During her time at both organisations she successfully led a range of commercial initiatives materially improving returns, supporting growth and reducing organisational risk. She also led material improvements in people capability, succession and employee engagement levels.

Nessa is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has held Directorships across a range of Companies including Director and Chairman of a publicly listed offshore business and 9 years as Director of the Not for Profit Coca-Cola Australia Foundation. She also spent 3 years on the Board of the G100 which a representative body of public company CFOs which lobbied government policy makers on behalf of listed businesses.
