Rebecca McGrath worked in the oil industry from 1989 to 2012. She holds the degrees of Bachelor of Town Planning (Hons.) and Master of Applied Science (Project Management. She has also attended executive management programmes at Harvard Business School, Cambridge University and MIT in Boston.
Rebecca held business and functional management roles with BP in Australasia, Europe and the United Kingdom. Prior to returning to Australia in 2003 she held the role of Manager Group Planning followed by General Manager Group Marketing Performance in the Group's Global Business Centre in London.From 2003-2008 Rebecca held the position of Vice President Operations encompassing BP's downstream marketing businesses in Australia including Reseller, Commercial Fuels, Bitumen, Distribution & Logistics Businesses, a range of Functions as well as BP's operations in the South West Pacific. In January 2008 Rebecca was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer – Australasia, providing Commercial, Financial, Accounting, Procurement and Shared Services support to all BP's downstream businesses in the region. In this capacity Rebecca was a member of BP's Regional Executive Board. Rebecca resigned from BP at the end of 2010 to pursue a non executive career.Rebecca is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a Non Executive Director of OZ Minerals Ltd,Incitec Pivot Ltd and CSR Ltd. She is a member of the Advisory Council of JP Morgan Australia.
She was previously a Non Executive Director with Big Sky Credit Union.
Rebecca, her husband and two sons live in Melbourne.
