Robi Stanton manages Turner’s operations in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Territories. As head of Turner’s business in Australia, she oversees networks management, content sales, entertainment advertising sales and off channel business management. Her current portfolio of children and entertainment brands for which she is responsible include Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Toonami, truTV, Adult Swim, CNN International and TCM Turner Classic Movies. She also leads the syndication business for Turner content, including original content from US-based networks TNT, truTV and TBS.
Robi joined Turner Broadcasting System in Australia in 2007. In 2013, Robi relocated to Singapore to run Turner’s sales and distribution business across South East Asia and returned to Australia in 2016. As part of the Turner Asia-Pacific’s senior leadership team, Robi represents the Asia Pacific region within the Turner Women Today Business Resource Group.
Robi is on the Board of Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) which is the peak body representing the subscription media industry in Australia. She has spearheaded the development of Astra’s “Women in TV” series which provides women working in the Subscription TV industry an opportunity to network and participate in mentoring programs and events.
Robi has a degree in theatre and completed her MBA in 2001. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of Scale, a female focused angel investor network. Robi speaks Japanese, having spent three years on a government scholarship in rural Japan.
