Sally Loane is the CEO of the Financial Services Council (FSC), the peak body representing Australia’s retail and wholesale funds management businesses, superannuation funds, life insurers, financial advisory networks, licensed trustee companies and public trustees. Sally has a particular interest in driving strategy to improve superannuation and retirement outcomes for all Australians, particularly women.

She is also a Director on the board of VenuesNSW. Prior to joining the FSC, Sally had a long career in the corporate sector, working at Coca-Cola Amatil from 2006 to 2014 as the Director of Media and Public Affairs, and in the media industry, where she worked as a journalist for Australia's major print, radio and television media organisations.

Sally spent five years as a broadcaster for ABC Radio in Sydney, where she hosted the Morning program on 702. She has worked as a journalist, columnist and feature writer for The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Sun, The Courier-Mail, the Sun Herald and The National Times, and as a newsreader and reporter on Channel 10.

Sally has been a mentor of women for many years. She is a patron of Lou's Place (a women's shelter) and does numerous unpaid speaking engagements at women's networking events. She is an active supporter of women's rugby and a Board member of independent girls' school SCEGGS Darlinghurst, with a passion for education for girls. Sally has published a book on child care and has contributed to other books relevant to furthering the endeavours of women, including What Women Want (Random House) and Women in Law (Supreme Court Library of Queensland).
