Sheila McGregor joined Gilbert & Tobin as a partner in July 2003 and leads the Technology & Digital team. Sheila is a member of the Gilbert + Tobin Board of Partners and the Partner Remuneration Committee.

Previously a partner at Freehills, Sheila has a wealth of experience in commercial law, focusing on the commercial issues faced by clients in the communications and financial services industry.

In 2018 Sheila was appointed to the Board of IAG Limited and is a member of the Audit Committee. She also serves on the Board of Crestone Holdings Limited and Australian Indigenous Chamber of Commerce Sheila is the Chair of Loreto Kirribilli Limited. Sheila chairs Gilbert & Tobin’s Art Committee focused on young and emerging Indigenous artists. She was previously a director of Seven West Media Limited and the President of the Royal Hospital for Women's Foundation.

Recognition by clients and peers has resulted in Sheila’s ranking in Band 1 by Chambers Asia Pacific for TMT in 2017, being named in the Best Lawyers 2018 list for information technology, telecommunications and commercial law, for the tenth consecutive year and listed as a leading individual for IT and Telecoms in Asia Pacific Legal 500 2017 and Who’s Who TMT 2016.

Sheila holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.

Sheila is a keen influencer and driver of the “Women@G+T” leadership program, focused on work force change to promote flexible work practices, return to work practices and promotion of women to leadership roles. She introduced a program called “Women’s Voice” to encourage young women lawyers to enhance their presence and development.
