Shelley Reys is Djirribul woman and a leader with national influence and senior leadership roles in Indigenous affairs. Shelley is CEO of Arrilla Consulting Pty Ltd, an organisation is in its third decade and majority Indigenous owned. It is the leading provider of Indigenous Cultural Competency training for the Australian workforce.
Shelley is also Partner of KPMG, helping to connect the corporate and public sectors with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander expertise across Australia.
She is known to inspire new, courageous conversations of national importance. This includes her leadership role with The Australian of the Year Awards and Australia Day, Parliament's apology to 'the stolen generations' and the national reconciliation movement in which she played a formal role spanning 20 years including her appointment as inaugural Co-Chair of Reconciliation Australia.
Other appointments include Vice-Chair of The National Australia Day Council, Chair of the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, Board member of CareerTrackers and Vice-President of the Fred Hollows Foundation.
The Australian Financial Review named Shelley as their '100 Women of Influence' and in June 2012, Shelley was awarded the Order of Australia (AO).
