Group Executive, Marketing and Strategy
Vittoria Shortt is the Group Executive, Marketing and Strategy for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where she is responsible for Corporate Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, cross-business strategic initiatives and Marketing. In addition, Vittoria is a Director of ASB Bank Limited in New Zealand.
Prior to her appointment as Group Executive in March 2015, Vittoria was the Commonwealth Bank’s Chief Marketing Officer, a position she held since May 2013.
Vittoria joined the Commonwealth Bank in 2002 and has held a number of roles in the retail banking businesses of both CBA and Bankwest, including customer-facing, operations and strategy leadership roles.
Prior to CBA, Vittoria worked in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions with Deloitte and Carter Holt Harvey in New Zealand.
Vittoria actively mentors women working in the financial services sector; and young marketers through the bank’s partnership with The Marketing Academy, a not-for-profit and voluntary organisation internationally renowned for marketing talent identification and creating development environments for future leaders.
Vittoria holds a Bachelor of Management Studies majoring in Accounting and Finance from Waikato University in New Zealand. She is also a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, New Zealand.
Vittoria is married with two young children.
