Bonnie Boezeman AO, one of the founding members of Chief Executive Women (CEW), established The Bonnie Boezeman AO Leadership in Nursing Scholarship to offer higher education opportunities to Australian female nurses.
This CEW Scholarship aims to help female nurses develop the leadership skills to advance their own careers and to grow the nursing sector as a whole,
Bonnie says. Women with potential and enthusiasm will benefit from education in leadership and allow them to pay it forward by nurturing nurses in the years to come.
The Bonnie Boezeman AO Leadership in Nursing Scholarship is now open for 2021 offering a Master of Healthcare Leadership at Southern Cross University.
The online course is over two years of accelerated part-time study starting in September this year. Southern Cross University is flexible and supportive with a real understanding of shift working nurses. The course work will allow nurses to make practical the theory with confidence. Interpersonal and communication skills can be applied on the floor, in patient and family dealings, senior staff meetings on project work.
With a focus on clinical practice management, leadership in complex public and private healthcare systems as well as building skills to support evidence-based health practice, scholarship recipients will be equipped with research, clinical and management skills for leadership roles within primary health care, community outreach, professional associations, hospitals, private practice, and government agencies.
The scholarship is open to Australian female registered nurses with at least five years’ experience.
Applications close May 24, 2021.
