Created in 2021, the scholarships recognise the real opportunity to develop women in sustainability leadership positions so they can advance into more influential roles to lead and accelerate sustainable outcomes.
CEW and ANZ would like to congratulate the following scholarship recipients:
- Asha Kayla, Program Manager, Circular Economy & Sustainability at Woolworths Group (NSW). Asha will use the scholarship to undertake the Purpose & Profit Creating Shared Value program at – Harvard Business School.
- Sonya Rand, Head of Sustainability & Community at Bunnings (VIC). The scholarship will see Sonya undertake the Executive Development Program at Wharton Business School.
- Marianna O’Gorman, Non-Executive Director at Stanwell Corporation and board member at the McKell Institute Queensland. Marianna will undertake the Trustee Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees, and the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In 2021 CEW welcomed applications from women in sustainability with more than five years’ leadership experience to apply for the scholarships, receiving applications from fields like environmental and corporate sustainability, as well as sustainable finance.
Successful scholarship candidates will also become members of CEW Connect, an alumni community of more than 1,500 emerging women leaders, alongside more than 200 women who have been awarded scholarships to business schools in Australia and internationally since the CEW executive program commenced in 1992.
