CEW is delighted to announce that after an extensive search, Marie Festa has been appointed as CEO of CEW.
Marie joins CEW having held several executive leadership positions across a range of industries including property, fintech, mining, and transport logistics.

CEW Chief Executive Officer Marie Festa says “Having had a long career across multiple sectors in Australia I am acutely aware of the challenges that impact the empowerment of all women, and I am equally aware that when we overcome those challenges, it will deliver tremendous benefits for all.
“I am excited by the opportunity to progress CEW’s agenda at a time when advancing gender equality is rightly recognised as vital in solving many economic and societal issues facing Australia and the rest of the world.
“Executing the CEW strategy and identifying opportunities to increase engagement and drive value for members, while continuing the excellent work in scholarships, advocacy and leadership development, will be key priorities for me and the CEW team.”
Prior to joining CEW, Marie was Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Vicinity Centres. Before that she held the position of Executive Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations at fintech company, Afterpay. She was also Head of Culture and Reputation at Mirvac Group and held senior executive positions at mining company Gloucester Coal and transport and logistics company Asciano.
