OAKRIDGE
Georgie Jacobs, Viticulturist
Georgie grew up in rural NSW surrounded by good food and wine, so when she fell into a vintage cellar hand job at age 19, the wine industry felt like a natural fit. Now with 14 vintages across the winery and vineyard and a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Adelaide under her belt, she has worked and honed her craft in Canada, New Zealand, Bordeaux, Champagne, as well as many regions in SA, NSW, and VIC. A passion for sustainable agriculture and a deep curiosity in the detail of growing fine wine drew Georgie to Oakridge in 2021, where she continues to learn and work to build soil health and wine quality each year. Georgie is proud to be part of a diverse, supportive, and collaborative vineyard team, and is excited by what they will achieve together in the coming years.

JOSEF CHROMY
Yael Sandler, Winemaker
When Yael joined team Chromy for a vintage back in 2016, little did she know she was about to fall head over heels with all things Tasmanian especially Chardonnay! A University of Adelaide graduate with a master's in Oenology and a WSET Level 4 Diploma, Yael initially started her career in wine as a sommelier, however, her passion for wine soon led her to explore the world of winemaking, where she honed her skills at
some of the finest wineries across the globe, including Giaconda, Yarra Yering and Margalit in her home country of Israel. But it was Tasmania that captured her heart, and in late 2020, Yael joined the Josef Chromy team full time. Now, as winemaker, Yael is continuously innovating and experimenting with new techniques to create exceptional cool-climate wines that showcase the unique terroir of the region.

Cape Mentelle
Coralie Lewis, Senior Winemaker
Hailing from the South West of France, Coralie naturally developed a passion for winemaking. After gaining her Master of Oenology and Viticulture and a National Degree of Oenology at SupAgro-Montpellier, she undertook her winemaking internship in Bordeaux at the prestigious Chateau Cheval Blanc in Saint Emilion and Chateau Beychevelle in Medoc.
Her pursuit of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay led Coralie to the Margaret River region. It became her platform for exploring the incredible diversity of reds and whites in the region, with its ideal climate and maritime influence.

Chapel Hill
Rachel Steer, Senior Viticulturist
Rachel's career in viticulture has long been entwined with the history of Chapel Hill. She completed her BAgSc Honours Project at Chapel Hill while Pam Dunsford was winemaker. Rachel credits Pam as a big source of inspiration, enjoying what some considered to be Pam's abrasive personality & cutting comments!
Rachel has played a fundamental role in shaping the sustainable future of McLaren Vale's vineyards. She was a contributor to the McLaren Vale sustainability program SAW before its adoption by the national SWA program. She's developed a love for revegetation with local indigenous species and has a nerdy fascination with scientific plant names which she thinks stems from long bushwalks in the nearby national park as a child.
