CAANZ represents over 134,000 financial professionals supporting them to make a difference to the businesses, organisations and communities in which they work and live through education, regulation of its Code of Ethics, membership services, thought leadership and advocacy in the public good. Ainslie van Onselen has served as Chief Executive of CAANZ since 2020. Under her leadership, CAANZ has reimagined its flagship CA program and worked tirelessly with the profession as they acted as the first economic responders to businesses during the pandemic. With an extensive background across financial services and law Ainslie is a seasoned business leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of growth. She has extensive experience in change management, talent development, forward thinking strategy development and execution, digital transformation, advocacy and risk and compliance governance. Prior to joining CA ANZ, Ainslie held senior executive line and functional roles at Westpac Group including Managing Director of RAMS, General Manager of Deposits & Unsecured Lending, Chief of Staff, CEO AFS and Global Director of Women’s Markets and Inclusion & Diversity. Ainslie has over 20 years experience including as a litigation law partner, law academic and as a non- executive director of listed, government and not-for-profit organisations. Passionate about education and social justice she is currently the Chair of Kambala Girls School and has been a Commissioner of the Legal Aid Commission NSW for almost 10 years. She is a Non-Executive Director at share registry company Automic and is the former Deputy Chairperson of the Insurance Commission of WA and Chair of the Migration Institute of Australia.
