As Australian Property Institute (API) CEO, a national industry body, key responsibilities include strategic development, advocacy, people leadership and P&l responsibility. Currently, I Chair the National Residential Valuation Industry (RVI) Group, comprising over 70 key Australian banks, professional indemnity & lenders’ mortgage insurers and valuation firms. I represent the API on International Valuations Standards boards and am a member of the International Valuation Standards Council and World Association of Valuing Organisations. I regularly speak to international and national forums. In former roles I have led large complex teams (up to 300+), held direct P & L responsibility (up to $300million) have broad, trusted networks and undertaken successful political advocacy delivering value to many organisations. Significant Achievements: • At API: o Led a major transformation programme driving profitability and cultural reform o Implemented sponsorship, mentoring and coaching programmes o Initiated a Board Observer policy, where young property professionals have a seat at the API Board table growing knowledge and access to senior leaders o Implemented Women in Property and Diversity in Property national event programmes o Introduced the first national Women in Property award showcasing the work of female members • Formerly, actively led and driven large scale diversity and inclusion initiatives, raising the profile of women across professions of Engineering, Law, Environment and Property. • Mentoring with McCarthy Mentoring, enjoyed contributing to professional growth of emerging female leaders. • Proudly volunteering on many occasions, I have raised danced, awareness & funds for charities advancing the lives of women and children (White Ribbon, Women's Legal Service, National Breast Cancer Foundation and Suited for Success). • Currently an NED Variety Victoria, the Children's Charity. • I have participated in volunteer activities and/or NED board directorships, slept out, raised funds and awareness for the work of organisations impacting homeless (Property Industry Foundation, Salvation Army and 139 Club).
