Angela Coble

Angela Coble is an industry experienced executive leader, board member and internationally published author, with more than 20 years leadership experience in technology, healthcare, utilities, finance, and agriculture. In 2024, Angela was named on the influential AFR Women in Leadership list and in 2023, was honoured with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her holistic pursuit to improve the Australian business community through action towards improving the participation and retention of Women In Leadership, her contribution to Technology industry and for her efforts towards equitable digital reach and access for Community; and contribution in volunteering of time mentoring, coaching, educating and role modelling for our next generation of leaders for their personal success and for the sustainability and growth of Australian Businesses.
In 2024, Angela was a recipient of Asia’s Top 50 women in tech, inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame in 2023, was ranked #2 in Australia’s Top 50 CIOs of 2020 by CIO – the third time she has made this prestigious list and was a 2022 Finalist in Australia’s Women in Digital, Executive Leader of the Year. In her current role as a Managing Director with Accenture, Angela engages directly with Australian ASX100 C-Suite to provide thought leadership and advice to assist them to reshape their business operating models for the future. She leverages her deep executive experience across strategy, technology, cyber-security, leadership & gender diversity, validated by ground-breaking Australia-based research, to influence companies from diverse industries to accelerate their digital ambition and reimagine their leadership, for sustainable growth.
As the former J&J MedTech AU/NZ Board Member, APAC CISO, CIO & Executive Director Business Transformation, Angela balanced her commercial responsibility in Strategy, Governance and Risk with her Technology responsibility as the Executive Leader of the Information & Technology discipline for the markets. Angela holds qualifications across various domains, including an MBA (Leadership) and a Bachelor of Business (Leadership & Management) from the University of Southern Queensland. She gained her Certification as an Information Security Manager from ISACA and qualified in Information Security Risk Management at the SANS Institute. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has further expanded her intellectual curiosity in Leadership & Digital Transformation, studying at international faculties with MIT and Oxford. In 2024, Angela received the award of Doctorate by Research (USQ) for an Australia-first study exploring success in technology leadership and pathways to catalyse participation of women in leadership. This research, among other findings, answers the matter of skills complement and model of the future technology leader, the checklist for the CEO when selecting a Technology Executive, an Executive quotient for the Board of Directors, and provides a career pathway, previously undiscovered, for the Australian Technology Leader. Angela is by-invitation, an advisor for the University of Technology, Sydney Faculty of Arts and Social Science Advisory Board representing technology education requirements for the future, an executive sponsor of DEI and UN Women Australia delegate invitee to New York, a sought-after keynote speaker, regularly contributes to publications and events, and enjoys audiobooks.
