Ann Burns

A 25 year veteran in Accenture working across Products and Resources clients in Australia, New Zealand and across Asia Pacific. Leading the teams to assist clients adapt and thrive as they face disruptive changes driven from regulation, mergers, divestments, competition and the impact of new technologies.
Since joining Accenture almost 25 years ago, Ann has worked with clients in the consumer products, utilities, natural resources and energy, advising them on their strategic responses to complex market dynamics and guiding them on how best to evolve their business and operating models. She has worked extensively across Asia Pacific and has experienced the nuances of the different markets in the region from Japan, China, Singapore and down to Australia. She is often asked to engage with clients at an Executive level to act as a coach through complex transformation programs and to operate as a trusted advisor.
Ann is widely published on her views on ‘TRIPLE ZERO’ (zero loss, zero harm and zero waste), sustainability, innovation and is a regular plenary speaker at industry forums. She has been the Global Sponsor of Accenture’s Leadership Development Program for three years and is a passionate advocate for learning, inclusion and diversity. She is a member of the Accenture Executive Committee in Australia and New Zealand and is a member of Chief Executive Women.
Before Accenture she was an Architect and worked in Construction and International Business Development on large infrastructure and commercial projects. After being awarded an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK, she moved to Australia. She is also the very proud custodian of one of the nation’s oldest Hill Station Gardens in the beautiful surroundings of Mount Macedon, Victoria.
