Avril Fahey
As the Chair of WA Cricket through one of it’s most successful on the field, yet turbulent off the field periods, Avril has guided the organisation as it has transformed the iconic WACA ground into a vibrant community facility with cricket at it’s heart. She is currently a Director with the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged in parallel to her governance roles. Topping off a very busy agenda, Avril also played cricket for the Australian Women’s Cricket team including a successful World Cup campaign in India in 1997 and continues to be involved in high performance sport, working with Cricket Australia as a National Selector and is soon to join the International Cricket Council’s Women’s Cricket Committee as one of two full member representatives.
