Barbara Moore
Barbara Moore is?Chief Executive Officer?of the Biennale of Sydney, a not-for-profit organisation that presents one of the largest contemporary art events in the world with free admission for all the enjoy.?

Barbara is currently a Board Member of the International Biennial Association and member of the Australian Government’s Creative Economy Taskforce. She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors?and?the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CiMAM).
Recently, Barbara was an advisor to the Ministry for Culture in Saudi Arabia, guest lecturer for University of Venice, keynote speaker for the National Film and Screen Archive’s Digital Directions Conference, guest speaker for Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas, and panelist for the?City of Sydney’s?Art&About?program. She has also been a mentor for young female arts leaders, including formally via the Australia Council for the Arts’ Future Leaders Program.

Barbara is a passionate advocate for the arts with 20 years’ experience in senior roles across the private, public and not-for-profits sectors. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Barbara spent eight years leading the Biennale’s development team, garnering support for the?arts with Australian and international governments, corporate partnerships and philanthropy. She studied?Fine Arts?at Emily?Carr?University in Vancouver, Canada where she received the prestigious Governor General’s Academic Medal?for?the highest academic standing?university wide. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of South Australia.

Barbara is the?mother of a five-year old daughter and three-year old son. She lives in Sydney.
