Belinda Gibson

Belinda Gibson
Belinda is a Non-Executive director of Citigroup Pty Ltd (Citigroup's retail bank in Australia), Ausgrid and Thorn Group Limited. She is the Chairman of the AMP Advice Review Panel. She is also a Trustee of the Australian Museum in Sydney and its associated Lizard Island Reef Research Foundation. She has a private consulting business, which utilises her 20 years' experience as a corporate and securities lawyer and as a securities regulator. She is a board member of Chief Executive Women, and chairs the Scholarship Committee. She has led the STEM fellowship initiative for CEW, which aims to promote the participation of high school students in STEM studies. Belinda was a corporate law/ mergers and acquisitions partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques from 1987. She was a leader of the firm's governance practice, and partner in charge of the Sydney office. From 2007 to 2013 she was a commissioner and then Deputy Chairman (Deputy CEO) of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission with primary responsibility for regulation of the capital markets. She is a past director of AirServices Australia and the Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation.
