Bernadette Inglis

Bernadette Inglis is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Newcastle Greater Mutual Group Ltd (NGM Group). NGM Group is one of Australia's largest customer-owned financial institutions, providing retail banking services to more than half a million Australians under its brands Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent. 
 
Bernadette has over 20 years' executive leadership experience in financial services, including as Chief Executive Officer of Newcastle Permanent from July 2019 through to the merger with Greater Bank which formed NGM Group in March 2023. Bernadette has been a successful business leader in retail banking, wealth management and insurance, and has held senior executive roles across core corporate services functions in both major and regional organisations. She has significant experience delivering business transformation and growth to drive customer value, including through emerging technologies, execution of strategy and fostering partnerships. 
 
Bernadette is also an experienced non-executive director, with a broad spectrum of Board appointments encompassing arts, education, infrastructure, supply chain and charitable foundations. She is presently Chair of GWA Group Limited and a Director of the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM).
