Catherine Burn

Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn joined the NSW Police Force in 1984. Her career has covered all areas across the NSW Police Force including general duties, detectives, specialist and corporate areas. From 2002 - 2006 Deputy Commissioner Burn spent several years as a Local Area Commander at Burwood, City Central and Redfern. Following this she was appointed as Assistant Commissioner, Professional Standards Command overseeing internal investigations within the NSWPF and ensuring the highest standards of integrity were maintained. She then commanded the Central Metropolitan Region for two years and also performed the role as Deputy State Emergency Operations Controller for the state of NSW. In July 2010 she was appointed to the position of Deputy Commissioner, Corporate Services with responsibility for managing a $2.7 billion budget and driving the development and implementation of corporate service strategies.
