Cathy Thomas

Cathy Thomas joined the UnitingCare Queensland Executive Leadership Team in 2016 leading Blue Care Services across South East Queensland. In 2019, Cathy moved into the Group Executive role across Blue Care in Queensland, which also incorporates the Executive Director role for Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) across the Northern Territory. Prior to these roles, Cathy has vast experience in Blue Care through working in clinical, human resources, and key management and leadership roles across community and residential programs. Prior to this Cathy has worked as a Registered Nurse across many Queensland Health clinical areas. Her passion is delivering great services to enable older people to reach their full potential and to ensure great opportunities for people in Blue Care and ARRCS. Cathy has co-authored a book in the Fish! Philosophy series, “Fish! Transformation – The story of how Blue Care changed its culture and people’s lives.” Cathy has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing), is a Registered Nurse, and has completed a Leadership Program at Harvard University.
