Cecile Wake
Cecile Wake is the Vice-President Commercial & NBD at Shell Australia heading and a member of the Shell Australia country leadership team. She has accountability for all of the commercial arrangements and joint ventures that underpin Shell's oil & gas investments in Australia.
Prior to assuming commercial leadership roles at BG Group and Shell, Cecile was a corporate partner at leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills in London for 9 years with a practice focused on cross-border oil, gas and LNG project development, M&A transactions in the oil, gas and mining sectors and long-term sales arrangements for oil, gas and LNG.
Cecile is a director of QGC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell, and serves on the boards of UQ Sport and St. Aidan's Anglican Girls School.
Cecile gained a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland (UQ) where she was awarded a Full Blue for Modern Pentathlon. She has represented Australia in Modern Pentathlon at seven World Championships and multiple World Cups.
