Christina Tonkin
Christina Tonkin is the Managing Director, Loans and Specialised Finance for Institutional Banking for ANZ, an ASX10 publicly listed company, which provides lending solutions to ANZ's Institutional and Commercial customer base and forms part of ANZ's International and Institutional Bank. Prior to this, Christina was Global Head of Structured Debt at ANZ. Christina is a career banker with over 25 years of experience in specialised lending and loan syndications. Prior to joining ANZ, Christina held several senior positions at Westpac Banking Corporation. Christina was recently appointed as Chairperson of the Board of ANZ Vietnam and is former Vice President and Director on the board of the National Stroke Foundation Christina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Sydney. Christina is passionate about the development of sustainable finance solutions for companies seeking to transition to a lower carbon economy. Christina represents ANZ within an industry body promoting gender diversity in the finance sector, ‚Äö'Women in Banking & Finance'. As Vice President, she has been instrumental in creating an internal development program in association with Australian Graduate School of Management aimed at developing well-rounded future leaders with a broad perspective in a complex and rapidly changing business environment. This program has now been adopted as a development blueprint in other parts of ANZ.
