I am a Board Member and a former CEO with over 20 years of board experience, having served on boards for major institutions in retail and private banking, wealth management, and insurances; life and health. I have experience in listed and member based organisations. As a Board Member—I understand that strategic oversight must be matched by robust operational execution. By leveraging extensive board experience gained in Group Executive roles (Australian Unity and Bank of New Zealand), as a NED I was able to support the Australian Unity Health Board, the Australian Unity Bank board and the BNZ Life Insurance Board board along with the board of JBWere in not only setting strategy but importantly ensuring that the executive team is properly equipped to deliver on it. Many organisations have strong governance and compliance frameworks, yet they often lack the operational expertise needed to streamline processes, allocate resources efficiently, and establish clear executive accountability. My focus is on bridging this gap, translating high-level strategic ambitions into actionable, measurable plans that can be governed to drive sustainable growth. I excel in contributing to boards that operate in highly regulated, traditional environments where a shift from a risk and compliance focus to a customer and sales orientation is needed. By unlocking both people and capital resources and streamlining operations through automation and refined processes, I help boards ensure that strategic decisions translate into tangible business outcomes
