Claire Lauber

Claire Lauber is Executive General Manager, Supermarket Operations of Coles Group Limited, one of Australia’s largest retailers and most trusted brands. Claire is responsible for Coles’ national store operations, leading ~110,000 team members, across more than 840 supermarkets throughout Australia. Claire promotes a culture where everyone feels they belong, through her passionate championing of gender equity, Indigenous engagement, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, to make sure Coles remains a great place to work. Claire believes in the role effective leadership can play in delivering business strategy and plays an active role in leading and enabling her team to positively influence and deliver Coles strategic objectives. Simultaneously, her own strategic focus sees her supporting the growth and expansion of Supermarket innovation as well as driving collaborative working relationships to deliver effective investment and growth plans. Claire has over 25 years retail leadership experience and joined Coles as State General Manager, Victoria & Tasmania in 2020, before being promoted to Executive General Manager, Supermarket Operations in 2022. Prior to Coles, Claire spent a number of years as Managing Director of Boost Juice, responsible for driving the strategy, vision, and culture of the Boost business globally. Prior to that, Claire was General Manager, VIC/TAS for Woolworths and has held several senior roles across Jo Mercer, Treasury Wine Estate, Coles Liquor Group, and Coles Express.
