Dana Nelson

Dana Nelson is the President and Managing Director of BGIS in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 24 years’ experience in executive leadership. Dana is responsible for a team of nearly 2,000 people who deliver solutions in facilities management, technical services, project delivery, professional services, asset management, workplace advisory, and real estate services. She oversees a portfolio of large government, public-private partnership, and major private sector clients. She has demonstrated achievements delivering growth and leading significant transformation programs to drive profitability within complex services organisations. She is a leader who is passionate about building strong rapport with a focus on long term strategic customer relationships, as well as cultivating a diverse high performing, and creative workplace. Dana has held several CEO and Managing Director roles of both public and private business, including CEO of Spotless Group, listed on the ASX. At the time she was one of only 12 women leading an ASX 200 Company. Dana is passionate about her local community and is actively involved at a grass roots level, holding an Officer Bearer role with the local sports club which has 1000+ participants. She has recently been appointed Board Chair, WestJustice, a NFP legal service, that provides free legal help to people in the Western Suburbs. Dana holds a Master of Leadership and Innovation from the Melbourne Business School, as well as an Associate Diploma (Orthoptics) Latrobe University.
