Deanne Weir
Deanne is a former media lawyer and senior executive turned producer, investor, and company director who boasts over 30 years of experience in media, communications, and technology sectors, with senior executive roles at Telstra, Austar and Foxtel. Deanne is Chair of Seer Data & Analytics, and until February 2024 she was Chair of Ai-Media (ASX:AIM). Deanne’s investment company WeirAnderson.com invests in early stage media and technology companies where Deanne often takes board and advisory roles, with several successful exits. Newer investments include Othelia, where Deanne is an advisor to the Board, and Missing Perspectives. Through WeirAnderson Films and Storyd Group, Deanne develops, produces and invests in feature films from Australian female creatives creating stories for international audiences, with recent projects including "Run Rabbit Run'' and "How To Please A Woman." Deanne is also a former board member and Deputy Chair of Screen Australia, and former Chair of the Sydney Film Festival. Leading The WeirAnderson Foundation, Deanne focuses on gender equality, cultural institutions, and social justice. Deanne is Chair of The Grata Fund and and a board member of Mannifera, a philanthropic giving collective.
