Debbie Poole

Debbie Poole was appointed to the board of Bunnings Group as a Director in July 2017 and Chief Operating Officer in January 2018. She is accountable for all operational aspects of the business including store operations, logistics, commercial and business improvement. Previously she was Director of Operations and Commercial, having joined the group in 2014 as General Manager, Logistics & Business Improvement. Prior to this Debbie was General Manager, Operations at Officeworks Superstores. She started her retail career at Kmart in a variety of merchandising roles. Debbie has completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania and the Business Managers Program, International Business at INSEAD. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Business (Retail) from the West Coast College of TAFE. Debbie is committed to diversity and encouraging women into leadership roles within the Retail sector and more broadly. She has appeared as a panelist for the Australian National Retailers Association to encourage women in retail to be inspired by her rise from the grass roots of the industry.
