Diana Nicholson

Diana is Senior Partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice in the Melbourne office of King & Wood Mallesons and KWM national Financial Services Sector Leader. KWM is a top tier, international law firm headquartered in Asia. The firm has over 3000 lawyers in 30 global locations. Diana works primarily in the Mergers & Acquisitions team and has market leading expertise in governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities industry law and equity capital fundraisings . Diana leads the largest Sector in the firm and involves partners and teams from all practice areas and includes the following sub-sectors: Banks, Financial Services Regulatory, Insurance, Investment Banks, Non-bank lenders, R&I, Superannuation. The role focuses on strategy, industry and policy developments, key initiatives and has oversight of all client relationships in the sectors. Diana has held various leadership roles in the firm. Current roles include Chair of the Admissions Committee which means she is at heart of promoting our female lawyers, championing their success and acting as a mentor to those elected to partnership. She also leads the firm’s Gender Equality Network program, in Melbourne and is a member of the firm’s Gender Working Group.
