Erin van Maanen

I am a highly respected executive leader with 20 years' energy sector experience spanning strategy, large-scale project development, wholesale markets, corporate finance and commercial roles. Currently, Executive General Manager, Strategy at Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest renewable energy generator and one of the largest businesses and employers in Tasmania. In this role I set strategic direction and pursue outcomes that are commercially sound, good for the planet and community, and enable our people to be their best. I recently served for 6 months as Interim CEO. I have a track record of creating sustainable value within complex, evolving environments, supported by my strategic problem-solving skills and ability to develop adaptable, high performing teams and culture. I bring deep knowledge of the market and regulatory environment in the Australian energy sector and strong professional networks in Tasmania and nationally, which enable me to achieve outcomes.
