Members Directory

CEW members are leaders across diverse sectors in Australia, including government, business, sport, academia, the arts, and the not-for-profit sector.

Our members share a unifying goal: to remove systemic barriers and create pipelines that enable Australian women to rise to leadership positions in their communities. This ensures a diversity of women's voices at every decision-making table while supporting both women and men to thrive—at work and home.

Evelyn Horton
My professional career, spanning forty years, has been in three parts: as an economic policy adviser at the Commonwealth Treasury in Canberra (preceded very briefly by the Reserve Bank); as an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions and risk management; and as a non-executive director. I have wide experience in financial services, human services and government administration. I have reached positions of seniority and standing within those sectors and use my position to have a positive impact on the people I serve, both customers and stakeholders. I have been fortunate in my life to have older, wiser people who have taken me under their wings and seen the potential in me. They helped me to develop as a person and as a professional. It is important to me that I pass this on to other. For many years, I have acted as a mentor to younger people, women and men, who sought my advice and counsel in their careers. I continue to do this. In a more formal way, since 2015, I have mentored not-for-profit CEOs through Kilfinan Australia, with two female CEOs as current mentees. Beyond mentoring, there are other ways I have found to serve the communities in which I live. For many years, I have undertaken significant pro bono work. My chairmanships of the Anglicare and Glebe Administration boards are unpaid. From 2011 to 2021, I served pro bono on the board of Mission Australia, another institution with a long and proud history of serving the underprivileged.
